LED Light Therapy Facials Frequently Asked Questions

  • LED light therapy facials are safe and suitable for most individuals. They are particularly beneficial for people looking to address specific skin concerns such as acne, inflammation, and signs of ageing. LED light therapy is generally non-invasive and gentle, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. However, if you have specific medical conditions or are pregnant, it is advisable to consult with us to discuss in more depth before undergoing the treatment.

  • The frequency of LED light therapy facials depends on your skin's condition and the desired results. For addressing specific skin issues or as part of a regular skincare routine, a series of treatments spaced 1-3 weeks apart may be recommended. After completing the initial series, maintenance treatments can be scheduled at longer intervals to sustain the benefits. We highly recommend kickstarting your LED light therapy with a course to maximise results.

  • LED light therapy facials are generally safe and non-invasive, with minimal side effects. Some individuals may experience mild redness or sensitivity immediately following the treatment, but these effects are usually temporary and subside quickly. Unlike some other treatments, LED light therapy does not involve chemicals or abrasion, making it a gentle and well-tolerated option for many.

  • At-home LED devices can provide some benefits, but they generally have lower power and limited capabilities compared to in-salon treatments. Professional-grade devices used in salons offer more potent and customised results.

While at-home LED devices can contribute to skin improvement, they might not deliver the same dramatic and comprehensive results as in-salon treatments due to their lower intensity.

  • The results of LED light therapy facials can vary depending on the individual and the specific skin concerns being addressed. Some people may notice immediate improvements in skin tone and texture, while others may experience more gradual progress over multiple sessions. Consistency is key to achieving optimal results.
